ODSSA is a recognised RYA training centre, that provides sailing and powerboat training to its a members and the general public.

The RYA is the UK national governing body for the sport of sailing, it administrates the RYA National Sailing and Powerboating Schemes, that are recognised both nationally and internationally.

ODSSA offers youth sailing courses to children during school holidays in conjunction with The Oxford Sailing Club. It is also able to offer development courses like Power Boat Level 2, Assistant Instructors and Small Craft First Aid for it affiliate groups, so that they can improve there instructing staff or develop some of their more talented youth into an instructing role.
