The association is a committee led organisation, that is formed from elected members of the member organisations. The Committee decides how the organisation is going to develop and continue to provide the sailing facilities for schools and youth groups within Oxfordshire. If you have any questions for the Committee or would like to assist the organisation please do contact us. Committee Positions Commodore - Main Chair person. Vice Commodore - Second in command. Honorary Treasurer - Looks after the accounts. Honorary Secretary - Looks after meetings and official notices. Sailing Secretary - Person responsible for sailing events the association is involved with. General Committee - General Members, who might be asked to fill special roles. OCC Representative - Oxford County Council Representative. OSC Representative - Oxford Sailing Club Respresentative. ODSSA Warden - The employed Sailing Warden. The ODSSA Committee continues to encourage representation from all of our members, particularly state schools and youth groups which are under-represented on the current committee. Each member is entitled to nominate one representative to stand for election to the committee. There are a number of Flag officers (Commodore, Vice Commodore, Sailing Secretary, Treasurer, Secretary) and a number of general committee members. The Committee aims to meet once a month during term time and is responsible for the strategic development of ODSSA. If you care about what happens at ODSSA, please stand for election. |
